New warm-forming press put into operation

Using the new "Warm Former" SACMA SP570C WF150, ESKA is now able to process material which are not suitable for massive forming at ambient temperature. Such materials include, for instance, high-carbon, highly heat-resistant as well as stainless steels, magnesium alloys, powder-matallurgy aluminium materials as well as titanium and nickel alloys.

Special features of forming press

  • Inductive wire preheating up to 900 °C
  • Thermo-regulation of press tools
  • Integrated CO2 fire-extinguishing system
  • Wire feed system with servomotors and wire pullback funktion

Working ranges of forming press

  • 6 forming stages
  • Pressing force 3,600 kN
  • Wire diameter up to 27 mm
  • Maximum cut-off length 160 mm
  • Maximum 130 strokes/min
