In fastening technology, success often depends on factors you can’t even see—like friction. That’s because friction has a direct impact on a bolt’s preload and, consequently, on the safety of the entire fastened joint.

That’s exactly why we at ESKA use our TesT® friction test bench. We use it to test bolted joints under realistic conditions and in accordance with international standards. Sound dry? It’s not.

Here’s how it works:
The screw is tightened with defined forces and torques, and our sensors measure exactly how the friction behaves during this process. This way, we know exactly what’s happening in the connection.
