Cold forming is a highly economical manufacturing process for the cost-effective production of near-net-shape metal components with minimal use of materials

Advantages:

Attachment of additional functional elements in the same process step (e.g. serrations, longitudinal grooves, …)

High production speeds (100-300 pieces/min)

Work hardening during forming (heat treatment may be superfluous)
